How do I get their father to notice me?

I feel like I have been neglected lately.  He doesn't treat me the way I should be.  He tells me he loves me, but makes it difficult for me to believe him. 
We have been having issues lately with the girls, they dont go to sleep when I ask them to or listen to me.  He comes in and they listen, but then gets mad at me because I reach my breaking point and need to step away for a little bit.
How do I get him to see my reasons?
